Britney Spears’ success
Britney Spears’ success made her a high-profile person in the music industry and in pop-culture. At the beginning of 2001 she attracted the Pepsi company’s attention and was proposed at once a multimillion contract including TV ads and promo-actions participation. In November 2001 her third album appeared named Britney. This album debuted at the first rank in USA with 745,744 disks sold during the first week, which made Britney the first ever singer whose three albums debuted at the top of the rating. Right after the album appearance Spears left for the Dream Within the Dream tour and having returned she declared wanting a 6-months career pause. The same year Spears fell apart with the ‘N Sync soloist Justin Timberlake who she was dating with for four years. Britney came back to work in August 2003. In November 2003 her fourth studio album In The Zone appeared. Britney participated in 8 of 13 tracks writing and also was the album producer. In The Zone debuted at the first rank in USA and made Britney the first ever singer whose four albums debuted at the top of the rating. The most successful single from the album, Toxic, brought Spears the first Grammy award as the Best Dancing Track.

Britney Biography
Britney Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood in Louisiana as a Southern Baptist. Her parents are James Parnell Spears, a building contractor, and Lynne Irene Bridges, a grade school teacher. Britney's brother Bryan works as a family manager and her sister Jamie Lynn is a singer and an actress. Her paternal grandparents were June Austin Spears and Emma Jean Forbes. Her maternal grandmother Lillian Woolmore was an English war-bride. She met Spears's grandfather Barnett O'Field Bridges in England during World War II.
Britney was a gymnast, attending gymnastics classes until age nine and competing in state-level competitions. She performed in local dance revues. At age eight she auditioned for the Disney Channel series The New Mickey Mouse Club. Although she was considered too young to join the series at the time, a producer on the show introduced her to a New York City agent. Spears spent three summers at NYC's Professional Performing Arts School and also appeared in a number of off-Broadway productions, including 1991's Ruthless! After that she landed a spot on the popular television show Star Search. She won her first round in the competition. At age 11, Spears returned to the Disney Channel for a spot on the New Mickey Mouse Club. She was featured on the show until she was 13. Other future celebrities on the show, included pop singer Christina Aguilera, 'N Sync members, Justin Timberlake and Joshua Chasez, actress Keri Russell, and The Notebook star Ryan Gosling. After the show ended, Spears returned to Kentwood and entered high school for a year.
